In this episode, Reverend Trish and Father Jayme speak about self-care with T. Michael Rock, Pastor for Congregational Life at Lyndale United Church of Christ in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Professor of Contextual Education and Spiritual Formation at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. They speak about “holding it together” and holding onto hope amid the flurry of holiday activity and the news and events that swirl around us. They highlight the need for balance and shielding others from the things that affect us, as well as taking time for prayer, retreat and other spiritual practices that “fill our well.” They conclude that healthy boundaries around our choices—especially for those of us who tend to say “yes” to life and who have difficult saying “no”—can lead to fuller, happier lives!
